  • Oh, my. What a lovely house. And may the oil glut save it from the wrecking ball.

  • It’s a taredown, nice double lot for that price.

  • Incredible! What a treasure!

  • very special – so human-scaled.
    LOVE this house!

  • The architect (Karl Kamrath) personally supervised the placement of the blocks to create the interesting pattern. Pretty neat way to get a sculptural result from ordinary concrete blocks.

  • Is that a plywood veneer in the kitchen?

  • Kind of reminds me of a 70’s dentist office

  • I toured this house recently and it is a shame that it will almost certainly be torn down. You can almost hear the cocktail glasses clinking as you imagine the winter parties and the summers on the deck, but the floor plan and finishes just are not what people expect now, especially for $4 million. It’s tragic in a very real way, because this house so much evokes a certain lifestyle from 50 years ago and does so better than any book or television show could. I hope someone saves it.

  • I spent many evenings there, I have great memories of that house. And Yia Yia, the owner, was one of the most amazing women I have ever met; may she rest in peace.
