Joni: The bridge is pretty awesome, IMHO. An instant conversation starter! Just make sure your guests don't drink too much before they leave.
Marmer: Good catch on vomitus in Princess Bride. That's one of my favorite scenes. "It’s possible, pig, I might be bluffing. It’s conceivable, you miserable, vomitus mass, that I’m only lying here because I lack the strength to stand. But, then again… perhaps I have the strength after all."

Not to be pedantic or anything ;-) (who, me?) but just to be clear: "vomitus" means either the material vomited or the act of vomiting. It is not an adjective, and there is no such word as "vomitous," however tempting it may be. It was used colorfully but incorrectly as an adjective by Westley in his final speech to Prince Humperdinck in The Princess Bride. I don't know of a simple one-word adjective meaning "makes me want to throw up" except perhaps "emetic."

vomitus! that's my new word!! boy this is sooo fugly and don't you know they owners think it's just beautiful with the bridge. It's been very minorly fixed up - tile floors in the living room but not much else. the paneling is so dated ,so are the kitchen countertops. I'll say 80s, late 70s - Lakeside Place! could be Fondren area too?!! vomitus

I'm going south down into Clearlake. I was all in for Memorial until I saw the bathroom. This is in a master planned community, I'm sure of it.

That footbridge just boggles the mind. Do you get a free set of Ace bandages and crutches if you buy this house?

Your Blog made the Wall Street journal

Housing Blogs Throw Stones

Simply laughable. Ugly exterior and priced with copious amounts of grandiosity."

"This is what happens when you are filthy rich. No one tells you, you have bad taste."

Selling your home could be bad for your ego. The above quotes are recent comments on real-estate blogs -- online journals that often post photos of new sales listings and allow readers to add their thoughts anonymously. Thanks to the housing crisis, real-estate blogs are blooming not only in number, but in nastiness, as thousands of strangers swap stinging critiques of high-end homes hitting the market.

I agree it looks swanky 70s contemporary northy-westy burbs. It also just might be smaller than it seems, but I can't buy townhouse with that double glass front door. Just for fun, because there's a golf course and a lot of nicely appointed 70s houses there, I'll say Green Tee Terrace in Pearland.

Well, an old friend of mine has a house that looks similar, complete with indoor green spaces. I'll guess her neighborhood. I don't know the name of it, but it's in Sugar Land, just south of 59 and east of Williams Trace Boulevard.
