Sampling life in Tanglewood got a little less expensive yesterday when the $20,000 per month leasing rate of this 1986 Georgian-style property with lagoon-like pool and fancy finishes dropped $5K after 2 weeks on the rental market. Don’t expect to get too comfy for long, however: The listing still says the owner prefers a 6-to-12-month arrangement.
A central foyer with staircase (above) sets up the home’s floor plan, which features individual rooms downstairs, such as the (very) formal dining room:
The family room’s French doors access the patio-pool-spa-outdoor kitchen area:
There’s also a sizable bar with seating at the far end of the room:
For chillin’ in a smaller space, there’s this den . . .
off the kitchen’s informal dining space, which appears to be up a step:
It’s a 5- or 6-bedroom home, with a first-floor master suite that has outdoor access:
There appears to be seating or fainting space aplenty in the master bathroom; the actual sitting room is nearby (but not pictured):
Secondary bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms take over the second floor:
There’s also this game room . . .
with a balcony overlooking the pool:
Tanglewood Dr. is the cross street for this 16,300-sq.ft. corner lot north of San Felipe.
The circular driveway’s width leaves a passing lane:

I love it, although it is way too much house for me, and I suspect that the utility bills would be astronomical.
The tub/shower-head wall in the photo just above the “game room” caption though looks a bit off, as if it isn’t flush with the adjacent wall and the tiling appears to stick out beyond the bulkhead. Curious construction method.
I think your seeing an optical illusion, or a shadow line.
Piece of garbage. Bad proportions, chopped up back yard, uninspired landscape. Ceilings are too low and the mouldings too tall. Best to bullfoze it and start over.
