So are any residents really upset about this drainage fee at this time, or is it just a bunch of lawyers trying to run up the bill on behalf of a handful of specific clients? Seems like a lot of money wasted over something stupid.

Houston obviously has a very serious infrastructure issue so why would people intentionally make it worse and jeopardize huge sums of taxpayers money when they could just work within the already existing system to fix it?

Joel, You’ll see this lawsuit’s lead lawyer is Andy Taylor. He’s also leading the suit against METRO on the Post Oak BRT. It seems to me that there’s a handful of well-financed conservative activists in Houston that can’t win at the ballot box very easily and have taken to suing over everything they don’t like. I wonder if they got the idea from Greg Abbot’s days as the Texas AG?
