59 @ 610 has had traffic backed up since 1982. Same with 59 N near downtown. not enough lanes
More lanes on 610 will help, but the primary reason for the backup in the galleria area on 610 N is the interchange at I-10. Lots of people trying to move over for the exit plus just enough katians doing 35 down the long ramp really backs things up. Why they do this, I have no idea, but I see it every day.
I’m not under the delusion that it will be easy to improve the caliber of driver out there, so unfortunately TXDOT needs to look at what they can do to improve the situation.
I am guessing that IAH was rated so high by people who fly into, and subsequently out of, Terminal C. Terminals A and B are nothing special. Also, anyone who experiences driving >30 miles to the airport, in traffic, then navigating construction and bad signage for a parking spot, would surely vote otherwise.
Re: the arch-nemesis.
I always feel a little bit like a villain when I wake up in the morning before I’ve had coffee, and I’ll even sometimes let loose a few rants to that effect if someone or an animal happens to be within earshot.
That being said, it’s bad form to arch a roommate. There has to be something in the Guild bylaws about that…
