I’m surprised that there are still so few crossings of the West Fork of the San Jacinto, and for such a small river. There are currently no crossing of the river between 242 and U.S. 59, a distance of 15 miles. It’s only slightly better on the west side of I-45 since they put in the “extension” to FM 2978/Honea-Egypt Road a few years ago.
Also, it looks like the first road they proposed sort of fulfills the old plan to extend Hardy Toll Road into Montgomery County. With all of the development there now, it looks like an extension near the tracks looks infeasible, but this new proposed road would serve as a sort of relief valve to I-45 (Hardy to GP to this new road).
I like to eat a couple dozen oysters before getting on aplane.
