Execpt for the gay bars, Houston has never been able to maintain a long term entertainment district. 20 somethings are a fickle group that operate on a herd mentality. Where the district is doesn’t matter. Maybe Washington Ave. will be able to mature to a more stable base of businesses and restaurants because you certainly can’t rely on the club crowd to stick around.
