I like that HGAC is looking to expand US 90A, in spite of the double tracked rail that runs parallel to the roadway all the way to Holmes Road (within a mile of Reliant), after which the rail continues to run in a northeasterly direction DIRECTLY BEHIND the Fannin South light rail station.
It’s a shame the city didn’t bothere to offer a “fair” for Houston Renaissance when it began to “revitalize” Fourth Ward. Apparently Houston Renaissance thought “revitalization” consisted of demolishing as many historic structures as possible. All told over 500 in Fourth Ward. And of course the city itself issued the demolition permits. Which calls into question its supposed commitment to historic preservation. Apparenly it depends on whether the neighborhood is white and “chi-chi.” Everyone else can just forget it and take what the developer offers. Which in Fourth Ward was $10 less per square foot than what the land was worth. Such hypocrisy.
@MJ, METRO had in the near term plans for commuter rail along that very route, but they put the thing on hold due to lack of funds:

Matt: I’m not trying to sound like a dick, but I have no idea what you’re saying/implying. Can you explain?
How in the hell is 3821 Farnham considered Museum District?
