  • I wonder whether the bike commuting survey was offered in Spanish to the empleados of the 14,000 restaurants in the city.

  • So I went on HCAD and looked up what Richard Pfirman owns in my zip (77004). Found 2613 Palm. Went to Google Street view, and see a shithole house with yellow signs saying “BUY/LEASE NO CREDIT [check symbol] 832-484-9997 aaprop.net”.

Same thing for 3018 Prospect, which is a vacant house where a murdered body was found last year.

It’s obvious he’s running some kind of organized operation, and not tending to his properties. As someone who has to live on a street with several similar properties (including one owned by Pfirman), I honestly believe he should be punished extensively, even with jail time. Each of these properties violates numerous building codes, deed restrictions and presents real hazards to neighbors and the community at large.

  • Looking through the HCAD list, I stumbled across the address of “All American Properties”: 17926 Bamwood Rd, 77090.
