Seems like the high rents at West Ave encouraged restaurateurs to swing for the fences with very ambitious concepts (and price points to match). With high rents and high build-out costs, there is very little room for error. The two restaurants to survive thus far are Eddie V’s (an already tested concept), and Pondicheri, a more accessible and reasonably priced alternative to the already successful Indika.
I’m glad Numbers is still kicking. I lost a plum mohair scarf there, has anyone found it?
