What a surprise, this is the house we owned in the 1980’s! In the front yard is “Grandma’s Christmas tree”. When we got married, Grandma gave us $30 for a gift so we bought and planted a live Christmas tree.
^ How cool! Kind of sad it is coming down though :/
E 12th must just be for the garage. I looked at that property and the garage was not structurally sound. I think the garage was sold as is. The house is in ok shape.
The mean old lady who used to own the Lamonte house smelled like nachos and Mentholatum. And she had the most vile little poodle in Texas. They scared every kid in the neighborhood.
This is one of those times when a demo doesn’t bother me a bit.
Ooh, I’m very interested in the mean old lady on Lamonte. Was she the retired school teacher we sold our house to? I always wanted to stop by, because I think my husband left an important box in the attic.
The house on E. 12th sold for $296,750 according to Sawbuck.com. on Sept. 3rd. Probably not a tear down at that price, but never say never.
I’d like to nominate Ribalding for the comment of the day.
