  • So, St. John is finally getting that aquarium. I heard that there will be piranhas.

    It is also so nice to see another industrial site get demoed in the Heights. In just a few years, the chicken plant on Rutland, the air duct company on Ashland, the giant SemaSys plant on Tulane that greeted folks on the hike and bike and the bike path, Fixtures International on Yale, and the old pickle factory on Nicholson and 24th have come down. And now the Pappas warehouse will finally bite the dust. The wounds of no zoning are slow to heal, but it feels really good when they finally do.
