On the new Rice University Music Building: Nice design (classic Rice), but poor location.
Re: What’s Changed About Office Design in 2017
So…actually nothing has changed about office design. Yuppies are still pushing the unfounded ideals of aesthetic communalism, forcing more and more workers into tinier and less private cubicles, while workers still just want to have their own office.
Bill: Why do you think the location is poor?
To fdm: The new building is located on top of the now former walk/driveway entrance to Alice Pratt Brown Hall, on top of part of the bus and auto loop around campus (Stadium Road), and replaces the parking lot that was directly across that part of the loop. It disturbs the flow of traffic to and from Entrance 18 (off Rice Blvd).
