I’m very proud of my hometown for saving the Astrodome. Old Houston would have simply ripped it down and not even given it a second thought. It says something about a city in how it treats its iconic buildings. I’m happy to still see it as I attend Texan games and the Rodeo, its a reminder of the spirit of Houston; to invent an entirely new concept in stadium design and turf, uh we can debate another time the merits of each…..
I agree. The Astrodome deserves its landmark status, and investing in its renovation is a wise choice.
Can’t wait to see how this revitalized space will be used, and what events will be held there to provide additional fond memories for the future.
