Valley Ranch Town Center: not in a valley, not part of or nearby any ranch, not in a “town” in the traditional sense, not near the center of anything.
I am happy to send some money to improve Texas roads, unfortunately I am not so sure sending $2.5 Billion to TxDot will accomplish that.
Yeah, but if it’s not nearby anything then it’s Hidden…. Add that to the beginning and there in lies the inspiration for the name.
Re: Proposition 7 would dedicate $2.5B to TxDOT for Roads
.
I’m a fan of TxDOT since they have an unenviable amount of road miles to maintain – then have to keep up with population growth. It is just a shame that we have to amend the Texas Constitution to ensure that they get a minimum of $2.5 billion per year. Why can’t the Lege allocate these funds as a part of normal budgeting?
.
Rather than squawking about concealed handguns on college campuses and other social “hot button” issues, the Lege should have been working on funding the boring necessities for 27 million Texans instead of asking us to do their job. Ridiculous.
Just an FYI . Bonnie’s Beef and Seafood closed today after 40 plus years in Houston.
Was it any good? That place looked pretty sketch to me
