Last week we announced that Swamplot is hiring 2 new editorial staff members. We’ve already received a number of good responses, but don’t sweat it if you’re interested and are just hearing about the positions: we’re still accepting applications.

Today we have a third position to announce, on the advertising side of the business. Here are the details:

Swamplot is looking for a full-time advertising sales rep: someone who can help us sell advertising space to local businesses — and help shape our advertising strategies as well. The position will offer further responsibilities as we grow.

We’re looking for someone who has relevant sales experience, excellent communication skills, who’s organized and able to work independently, and who can be a knowledgeable, personable, and enthusiastic advocate for this website. If that sounds like you, this could be an exciting and rewarding opportunity. Online sales experience, familiarity with the challenges of the hyperlocal market, and established relationships with related Houston businesses will count as pluses.
