I’ve heard rumor that the northwest corner of Westheimer/Dunlavy is going to be a Dunkin’ Donuts. Can anyone confirm or get me an even better rumor?
better rumor?
Krispy Kreme?
NO its not … Fred from Hungry’s corp building a new building for restaurant and its lease rate will be so high it will have to be high end.
Hopefully the replacement for this NW corner will be a well-designed complement to the neighborhood (as opposed to another ugly mass like 1740 Westheimer: 13000+sf on 15000sf lot, built in 2007, still no ground-floor tenants). This type of uninspiring building belongs Uptown, not Montrose. Houston has been blazing the trails in new architecture and we have a diverse group of talented architects. Why settle for poor design?
Dunkin isn’t quite looking in Houston yet. Or rather, I should say isn’t looking AGAIN, yet.
