Photo of 1826 South Blvd.: HAR
When I saw the picture of 1826 South Blvd, I was thinking “please be just the garage, please be just the garage…” Sigh.
Too depressing. Has it already been bulldozed or was some it recycled?
Tragic
I would be surprised if 1914 South Blvd is an apartment complex. Interestingly from Google it looks like 1826 is the neigboring property. If this is the case what are the odds of a double lot filling fake Tuscan montrosity going up in the near future soon to be fronted by unintentionally ironic “Stop Ashby Highrise” signs.
Lots of interior pictures of 1826 South Blvd. on the April 2009 recently sold page:
http://www.har.com/HomeValue/dispSoldDetail.cfm?MLNUM=8446511#
1826 South Blvd is listed @ $1.3M for 12,675 sf of dirt.
Is $100/sf considered out of line for lot value in Blvd Oaks?
Follow Lauren’s har link and look at the third-to-last photo, which is of one of the bathrooms. That’s the coolest floor tile I think I’ve ever seen.
The only thing on the block that looks like it could be an apartment complex is actually two doors down from 1826, not next door.
Carol- you are right. Another crime disguised as progess.
I went to an estate sale at this house. It was probably built as a duplex divided horizontally (1st & 2nd floors had the same plan), but the last owner was using it as a single-family home. The house needed extensive renovation, but it’s a shame to see it end up in the landfill.
