Exactly my thought! Why would the city even need to know?
It’s 77006. There are white city pirus cars dirving areound all day looking for anyone that’s doing ANYTHING to their property.

It’s amazing, but you could be changing a light bulb and you’ll get a red tag requiring you to go get a permit. I had a big comment rant about this a few days ago.

The person getting the drywall permit likely has run into issues before and just has given up and wants to be proactive. Or he has a $$ contractor that’s charging $$ to pull the ‘repair’ permit.
