And everyone in River Oaks is wondering how much HCAD will “reappraise” their older home based on the “comp” for the new home on Pelham.
HCAD’s formula for River Oaks is to appraise the new “improvement” for $10 million and then raise the “land value” based on the “improvement” by $1 million and then use that as a “comp” for everything else. So everyone’s “land value” goes up by $50,000. Or more.
