Ack! This was the scene last Friday, a block from Baldwin Park in Midtown, on the 1500 block of Anita St., between Crawford and La Branch. Sent to Swamplot by the video’s creator, Alex Luster, who — you know — documents this sort of thing.

I love living near this building. Always cool new art and some sort of photo shoot going on.
My neighbor and her boyfriend, a tattoo artist had a really cute engagement request. He tattoed a picture of a ring on the back of her calf with a question mark next to it? She tattooed his leg in the same place with her answer…fortunately it was in the affirmative.
ah yes, I hate the public propsal thing.
On live TV, for example,
what is a gal’s alternative to acquiescing? Public humiliation?
In this case, if “No thanks” was her response, should she whip out her grrl posse for a quick over-paint: “sucka! when you learn to LISTEN and PUT DOWN THE SEAT and NOT TELL ME HOW TO DRIVE then maybe”?
It’s probably a good idea not to propose unless you’re 99.99% certain of an affirmative answer.
If you aren’t sure what the answer is going to be, you really probably shouldn’t be asking Creepy McCreeperson…
Now that’s commitment. I’d be afraid of the tattoo your lovers name jinx though. The creative ways to change those two tats if things don’t work out could be interesting:
“Ring picture and ?” followed by “a ding, ding”
“Yes” followed by “sir, may I have another”
AWWWWWWWW!
Very sweet. Congratulations and best wishes!
Shannon is a girls name.
