Billboard Removal, View at Manor Park Townhomes, Chartres St. at Tuam St., Third Ward, Houston Downtown and freeway views from and to theÂ View at Manor Park townhomes along Chartres St. just south of Tuam in the Third Ward just got a little clearer. Beginning this morning, a reader reports, crews dismantled and removed the freeway-side billboard that stood at one end of a row of townhomes angled for Downtown views in the 8-year-old development:

The billboard stood within a gated greenspace at the southern end of the development along Chartres St., which parallels the Hwy. 288 feeder road.

Glad to see it come down. Would love to see more billboards disappear.

Yay. I wish all the billboards around the city were taken down. The look of Houston would be greatly improved.

glad to see one less billboard, but sure they will just put it someplace else. i also don’t think its so much the billboards, but more so the power lines that should be buried or at least hidden that would dramatically improve the city.
