Well, we missed you. So why don’t we do something about it? A shiny new Swamplot editorial team is now in place (well, most of it — more on that later), testing out the furniture and getting ready to resume this site’s obsessive coverage of the Houston real estate landscape. Our regular barrage of daily updates will return shortly.
How soon? Watch this space. Or, if you prefer to be notified of Swamplot’s relaunch date by email, make sure we’ve got you on our mailing list, and you’ll be the first-ish to know. You can add yourself to the list by filling out the form here.

WOW, I was beginning to wonder!!
Welcome back! We missed you.
Hurray! Welcome back! You were VERY MUCH missed!
Welcome!
Hey there Christine Gerbode! So happy to see your name on this page. Congratulations!
Hallelujah!!
I shall resume my position on the front lines of the war against socialism.
Great to have you back! Just in time for the Swampies. We are all looking forward to mocking our favorite design cliches, whinging over fast food deforestation, and gawking at photos of exploding buildings for the demolition awards.
Just to catch you up on what has happened while you have been away: rents are down, vacancies are up, half the new Exxon Campus is empty (surprising since Exxon is not, repeat “not,” doing any layoffs), Houston has sprouted fields of pseudo-Belgian-style townhomes (not so good), several Belgian-style breweries (very good), and 70% of Houston streets now require a 4WD vehicle to traverse the potholes. I think you are caught up. Good to have you back.
I’VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH.
Yayyyyy!!!!!
Hell Yea! Missed y’all very much. I can’t wait for the Real Estate gossip to start up again! I love it!
Nice!
Great news! You have been missed.
totally thought swamplot was dead!

I totally thought Swamplot was dead! Welcome back.
Dream
Have been missing the Swamplot snark, errr news
YASS QUEENS YASSSSSSS
About. Damn. Time.
Fantastic news! Had just about given up hope.
Yes!! So excited!
There is much pent-up [fill in the blank] to be addressed. Let the festivities commence.
WOOHOO! Best news I’ve heard in awhile!
Phew!
Thank goodness. I tried Bisnow for my daily fix of real estate news, but its just a bunch of pictures of white guys in hotel ballrooms.
I have been missing the comments here.
Welcome back!!
Dream – Come back to HAIF!
And finally, that was a long summer.
I feel like illegally cutting down a few trees in your honor.
Well finally! My life can go back to normal and I’ll have something to speak to my wife about when I come home.
Yass, queen! We’ve missed so many opportunities for um, “spirited debate.” Welcome back!
Hey there!
Great to see y’all back in action!
Finally! Looking forward to some interesting conversation again on this site. Glad you didn’t go under.
Finally! I figured there just wasn’t much to report with the whole oil bust!
There should be some sort of Swamplot Holiday Social at a mattress store to celebrate. Maybe a “Swampies Lite” type thing…
NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN
Phew! I need my daily demolition report to let me know where to walk the dog. (It’s kind of our thing.)
Cody, you still alive?
Finally!!!!
Wonderful news, so important to have invested editorial comments to balance those with (not much) commonsense.
Glad to have you back.
Oh yeah! I was missing the snarky comments.
I feel like there should be party; best family reunion ever?!
You guys have a heck of a vacation plan. Where do i sign up?!
Happy to read the comments again.
i am so glad you are back! I was thinking y’all were gone for good.
Yes, you were missed.
This is great news.
In for the Swamplot social at a mattress store . . . Inside the loop
So happy… I don’t even live in Houston anymore and I still check swamplot daily just to read about what’s up in Houston!
Work productivity to drop precipitously in 3…2…1…
YAY!! Welcome back!
(Just like an angel getting its wings, every time a comment posts on Swamplot, a new mattress store opens its doors….)
You run off to god knows where for god knows what reason, then come waltzing back and ask for my email address? Again?
.
I have to be strong. I have to be the one to say “goodbye”.
Was about ready to start posting your photo on a milk carton.
Huzzah! I was about to chalk Swamplot up to lost n’ gone forever.
During Swamplot’s absence, 1.2 million people moved to Houston.
So glad you are back!
Say now, I thought you was gone forever. Freddie J Jones is happy you are coming back
