And there’s going to be a little bit of northern Japan on every beach after today’s earthquake/tsunami.
Watch video on BBC.
Awe inspiring.
As much as I like to dog on Houston, I am glad to be here today. Check with me again during hurricane season.
The highway sounds just like the ocean? Is this site full of a bunch of realtors or what?

I live right next to Katy Fwy and honestly when traffic’s moving, its just white noise. For some reason, even during high traffic, people don’t honk their horns much here, so the only sounds are usually engine and tire noise, which blend together and really do resemble rise and fall of ocean waves at times. Granted, you still have to stretch the imagination, but its not that bad.
Our country place is seven counties west of here and a full 3 miles north of I-10 in a very sparsely populated area.
On a still night we can hear the 18 wheelers out on the highway. (if the TV is off!)
18 wheelers sound like waterfalls.
