  • “WHO WANTS VERY livable when there is very brand new.”
Houston real estate in a nutshell.

  • Sad that the house is a teardown–I see a lot of potential & charm as it is now.

  • In another ‘hood the Turnberry house would not get torn down. But 2100 sq feet on a 9000 sq ft lot that sells for $550k+ is not going to last long. The kitchen is awful, the bathrooms are not very nice, and there’s not much space. There’s also the flooding issue in that area, so the new house will be a few feet off the ground.

  • I always have like a “debate” in my mind when I read these reports. On the one hand, something brand new is going to put place, but on the other hand a building with lots of history and memories is going away.

Demolitions are really emotional, as stupid as this may sound. I mean if someone may have a tough time getting rid of clothes or stuff he/she likes, imaging trying to get rid of your residence.

But Ross is so right about this. In other neighborhoods this would never be demolished to the ground. It’s sad things differ so much from place to place.
