COMMENT OF THE DAY: LICKED CLEAN BY MILLIONS OF COCKROACHES “Roaches? I didn’t leave them out. I just didn’t see any — as in, not one. No living creatures at all, except us humans. The place smelled clean, like fresh water. I wonder where those roaches went…. and (ugh) what they were eating down there in the ’80s.” [Lisa Gray, commenting on Comment of the Day: The Cockroaches Found That Cistern First]

The chron “editorial” on the underground cistern quotes comments from the swamplot write-up. While the quotes were taken for the humor (“Discovery Brown” was priceless), it is always a bit odd to me when a news organization uses comments from a website. It just makes you wonder whether one day reporters and editorial writers will just sit on the internet all day to come up with their content. Or maybe I am just mad that my comment got quoted and they didn’t credit it to my screen name.
