Signs your neighborhood is moving up: dry cleaner, veterinarian, day spa.
Walmart.
No particular order: Check cashing, auto parts store, CiCi’s pizza, Chinese buffet.
I would argue that dog daycares prove you have reached maximum level gentrification.
Honestly, I’ve lived in several newly gentrified neighborhoods (I’m gay, you see) and have never noticed bars? as a symbol that the area has arrived, it’s more that the old bars actually leave as do the Cash Advance and Pawn Shops, THATS! when you know it’s arrived..that and people take down chain link fences in their front yard and actually mow the grass.
