  • Are we getting old? Now 1979 is considered Mid-Century?

    First I thought ‘Wow Lake Houston RE is keeping its value!’ but this is an unusually large place for the area.
    That said, the neighborhood, though in the middle of nowhere, is very pleasant.
    Good schools too.

  • Does airplane noise and vibrations come included?

  • no airplace disturbances by the lake, still a good ways from the airport, but it’s fun to watch them line up overhead at night.

    lake houston is actually really nice if you want to be on the water though (no retirement money inflating the area like conroe, no storm surge wih hurricanes like in clear lake). still a lot of quiet/pleasant neighborhoods on the east side of the lake (and a shout out to the new 90 extension to 610 which is awesome) but the west side is just so busy these days it doesn’t ever feel like you’ve actually left the city. i’ll take montrose traffic over kingwood traffic any day.

  • Talk about good bones. A little updating = great house!

  • Unfortunately the country club and associated 27 golf holes in this neighborhood have gone bankrupt and are completely unkempt. One of the plans I heard were converting the golf course to aparts. Eek! At least this is across the street.

  • More room there for Pacman than for the cook!

  • To all who are interested. Please stay away. The lake is not what you think. It is overrated. Especially, stay away from the east side of the lake. Thanks! You would be much happier anywhere else.

  • I wonder why they would pick this house to write about.. Its been on the market since 2003 for 1.25M and consecutively on the market for 405 DAYS !!

  • For a house at this price, I would desire a little more Kitchen.

  • The HAR listing has a picture of the real kitchen.

  • That IS a real kitchen. Not the bloated, over done, granite laden, behemoths from the past 20 year. It is a practical size. The owner has more than enough room to zap some Stoeffer’s lasagna.
