Houston Architects Looking for Work

   

A few sources report on some recent carnage in the architecture biz: 40 people were laid off from Gensler’s Houston office in the last 2 months, including 24 in January. Firmwide, Gensler has let go around 600 employees. Got any updates from other Houston firms you’d like to tell us about? [Swamplot inbox]

    Towards the end of high school I deciding whether or not I want to go into Architecture or Civil Engineering. I’m glad I chose Civil Engineering.

    smart move! and I didn’t listen to any of my professors in college. :)
    only firms hiring have healthcare work.

    That is the only thing Gensler is good at.

    neither the tsa or aia have done much of anything i can find to address the problems we’re going through in the profession due to this economy. but i guess it’s always business as usual when YOU have a job.
