Karma- that closet with a glass door is a sauna. Why anyone in Houston would pay for a sauna is beyond me, have they not experienced June, July, August and September?

I know I’m late to this party, but how funny/ironic/perfect.
I do like those doors…

Thanks for the link Progg– that is a terrific Elmore Leonard worthy story

The saddest picture ever is the last one on HAR – outdoor child toys in a corner of the yard. Can you imagine when the kids come to visit dad’s bachelor pad on their alternate weekends? “Daddy, what’s this pole for? Can I play with it?” Vomit.

Thanks Mel,
But I’m talking about the “closet” in the master bathroom with the sliding glass doors. The sauna photo shows that it’s wood lined. The one in the master bath is not wood lined but has a ladder and hooks of some sort. Does not look like a typical closet.
Karma, I think the “ladder” you see in that closet is a shoe rack, and the “hooks” are just the brackets holding up the shelves. It is odd to have glass doors on a closet though, don’t know what they were thinking.

There is a buyer for every home…and this home has already found it’s buyer. It went under contract on the 4th. They status was changed to Option Pending yesterday.
Looking at the master closet, with the glass doors, I have to agree that it’s odd. I’d only want clear glass doors if I owned some really nice clothes / shoes / handbags that I wanted to view, almost like art, as they sat on the shelves. (hey – I do with my handbags on shelves now) But, no one with that quality garment is going to have the closet opening into their bathroom where humidity is a concern.
An epidemic of stripper poles, this one juxtaposed with images of a large erection. Interesting home, though.
Forget the Eiffel Tower – what’s with the stripper pole?
Could we get a separate post linking all the stripper poles showcased on Swamplot thus far? I bet there are more than 20.
Nice stripper pole, so classy.
What’s funnier though is the CD player.
Glad to see I wasn’t the only one confused about the stripper pole…
Well, it is an “entertainment” room.
What’s with “historic house” listed in the description??
Please tell me why there is a closet in the bathroom with glass doors. A wall ladder may lead to the attic but still why the see through doors?
Owner (and realtor) of supposed stripper pole:

because obviously.

This house was previously featured in Swamplot and Houston Chronicle. It has been “stripped†of its historic significance: it was known as the House of Formica.
Swamplot: http://swamplot.com/meyerland-mystery-mod-house-of-formica-and-foreclosure/2007-11-30/ . And an excellent Lisa Gray piece: http://www.chron.com/entertainment/article/Lisa-Gray-When-Formica-was-fab-1618838.php .
