Someone please explain why in some people’s mind faux finishes = luxury? Maybe the owner can throw in a paint allowance in this utterly forgettable home. Too bad, the nice drive up appeal is wasted.

JT: My place in SD had tons of “faux” paint. Not sure if that’s the right word. Looked like it was “sponged on” or wiped on or something? Anyway. I hated it. But it was hard to find people that wanted to paint over it since they thought it was very expensive to have done. Meanwhile, I didn’t care how much it cost to have done, I just didn’t like the way it looked. So I painted over it with a light gray.

Anyway… I think it’s just a case of if something is time consuming to do, thus expensive, it = luxury simply because $ was spent on doing it, regardless of how good it looks.
