Could someone please explain why the double wall oven is in the middle of the kitchen floor, and why an obviously added granite topped cabinet (island?) covers half of one the the windows?

Looks like they were in the process of installing the new oven when they snapped that pic. Another shot has it installed.

That new looking refrigerator has a dent in the center of the lower freezer door. The house looks to have a variety of different floor tiles.
