  • And when those awful ’80s pastel pastiches start falling to the wrecking ball, it will be Po Mo no mo’

  • Someone, anyone, please enlighten me: what’s PoMo?

  • Ohhh… I so want a mid cent. mod home! I am a realtor as well..my absolute favorite listing of all time was a mid cent. modern ranch with 3800 sq. feet of pure pleasure! That listing got me HOOKED on mid century modern architecture and design.

I hope the Sellers all have some good luck and lots of traffic at their opens this weekend.

I will be hosting one myself here in good ‘ol Cleveland! Market is quite challenging here…Cold weather is setting in as well!

    :)

  • PoMo is short for Post-Modernist. All that stuff in the late 1970’s-early 1980’s that was stripped-down modernism shot through with “referneces” to the classical past. Lots of oculi and Palladian-shaped window cutouts with no frames, lots of teal and dusty pink accents, lots of stuck-on motifs self-consciously harking to the Greek temple form, i.e. truncated columns that didn’t define anything. Feh.

  • Image 7 & 9 in that Milford St house. Whats is that room? It mentions nothing about a built in dungeon in the description.

  • Jimbo: I thinnk they’re calling that the “tasting” room.

  • Tasting as in cannibalism, or tasting as in determining in just how bad a’ taste this room is.
