Here’s a real slice of Houston: A shiny new just-redone vintage 1975 townhouse with underground garage and glass elevator, tucked into the pride of this city in the 1970s: the hidden-away-in-the-middle-of-it-all Briar Hollow ’hood.
Any problem with heat gain through those giant west-facing windows? Not at all, because the 12-story office tower across the street acts as a convenient sunshade:

This 2-3 bedroom, 4,250-sq.-ft. beauty on Briar Hollow Ln. has plenty of dramatic mini level changes. It’s been on the market for more than a month and a half at $599,500.
Included in the $1,102 monthly maintenance fee: access to the mini development’s “ravine,” private park, gazebo, and pool deck.
Wow. I think.
It’s fab but the maintenance fee is ridiculous.
Somebody make a movie here, quick.
In spite of the era’s bad reputation, there were some beautiful buildings designed in the 1970s. This is one of them.
Oh yes! I want to design some Sims people, in tapered slacks, smoking cigarillos, to live here.
It’s gorgeous. But I agree, the maintenance fee is too much. Still, a beautiful home… I’d love to live there!
How could a 4,000+ house have only “2-3 bedrooms?” Not real practical.
I work right down the street from these. I’ve always wondered what they looked like inside. Thanks!
Levels, Jerry! Levels!
