Raised 5 feet on piers, this 1-story, 4-bedroom single family home lifts potential home owners above the din, as well as the Brays Bayou floodplain. The listing proclaims that the 1959 building did not flood during Memorial Day weekend last year; the house went on the market a few days before Christmas for $975K. A lift is available on the side of the front patio (above) for those disinclined towards stairs:

After the hike up to the front door, refresh yourself with a drink at the bar:
Large picture windows flood the open floorplan living-and-dining room with light:
The dining room flows into the updated kitchen, which features stainless steel appliances, two sinks, and a pot filler faucet:
More recessed lighting in the family room off of the kitchen:
The master suite features a built-in platform bed with suede headboard, a private terrace, and a private 1-ton AC unit:
Step up for a soak or steam shower in the master bathroom; the toilet and bidet elevated even further:
The master suite terrace balcony overlooks the saltwater pool 5 feet below; across the water, a covered patio abuts the still-on-ground-level garage:

I feel bad for the future owners of the last house in Meyerland to get jacked up. It will be like living at the bottom of a well.
Next to a giant concrete ditch, and a freeway with a Walmart on the other side? Pass.
cannon ball off the roof!
Really nice remodel 5ft is not enough to raise it should have raised it 7ft to 8ft next flood and I bet it will get water inside again and the pool house was not raised either smh
Overlooked feature of the day in the third full bathroom – two showers.
@Brian
.
Not sure how’d you be able to maintain a functional garage after raising it…
@AREJAY

I like a strong cocktail after work as much as the next guy; however, I am unsure that the bar’s location should be in the entry way….that’s where the beer tub goes.
