All About the Eaves: Another Tuscapalooza in Carlton Woods

Prancing onto the market just yesterday: This 10,672-sq.-ft. gated bouquet in that cute little already gated neighborhood in The Woodlands, not far from the smaller mansion Chamillionaire generously handed over to the bank last year. Features 6 bedrooms, 6 full baths, 6 balconies, a 5-car garage, all guarded by a small army of spotlit corbels. There’s a putting and pitching green in the yard of the acre-plus lot; you can warm up there before braving the winding, mile-long trek to the Carlton Woods golf course.

What about outside?

Asking $3,495,000.

  • It takes a village to raise a child.

  • I was thinking to myself, as far as faux italianates go, it’s not that bad… until I got to picture #8, the master bathroom. Oh, my eyes… the burning… arghh…

    P.S. Drumset??

  • I’ve been in the house when it was under construction… not the best of Patrick Berrios’ designs, but I think the lot had a lot of limitations making the layout awkward.

  • The drumset is actually a set of midi triggers. You put on headphones and listen to yourself playing sampled drum and cymbal sounds triggered when you hit the pads while everyone else just hears some light tapping on the pads. Of course this begs the question: If you can afford a massive tricked-out custom home on a massive lot, you would think that you could give up a bedroom and about $300 for some quality sound insulation so junior could play on real drums?

  • Must not let wife see bathroom picture…

  • Full shoe shelves and empty wine shelves.
    Tsk, tsk.

  • How much for the closet?

  • Definitely ready for “The Real Housewives of the Woodlands”…

  • I love that they have, like, fifty bottles of wine in the wine room. Pretty sure my mom is storing more than that in her kitchen pantry.

  • “Which one of youze biznatches drunk all my wines? You better make up for it later in the mini-grotto…know what I’m sayin’?”

  • You know it’s tacky when you’re shocked to only find one fire pit.
