The I-10-facing spot in the strip center at 1801 Durham Dr. is wedged between Golden Hunan restaurant and the SNAP Spay-Neuter and Animal Wellness Clinic (not to be confused, we earnestly hope, with SNAP Kitchen). In Seattle, Samurai Noodle offers non-pork broth options for non-traditionalists, and allows customers to specify their preferred level of noodle firmness.

  • I seem to recall that a couple of Swamplotters had recently complained about coverage of some fairly sizable quantity of construction in The Woodlands, because it wasn’t in the Inner Loop and consequently didn’t deserve coverage.

I hold this up as a counterpoint, that the Inner Loop already has an outsized amount of coverage and that Swamplot tends to be pretty well balanced. …tends to be.

  • while technically that is Cottage Grove, I-10 cutting through the middle of the neighborhood pretty much destined that area to be “Rice Military”

  • Another ramen story, Swamplot? Why so much attention on ramen while udon gets nothing?? Udon is part of Houston, too, you know.

  • @Membag: Udon know what you’re talking about.

This restaurant location seems snakebit. Nothing stays there longer than a few months. Nothing about the shopping center says “a quality restaurant is here”.

  • Screw the Woodlands…that exxon campus is a waste…they decided to be lame and put it out in the burbs so they dont deserve good attention…same with the Energy corridor

  • How do you know it’s part of the chain? They have 3 locations in Seattle and now one in Houston. Doesn’t fit.

  • This gets its own post, while the new Wingzone in Pearland is confined to a mere headline?!!

  • JB3: What’s a “pearland” ?

  • I finally went to Samurai Noodle. I hate to admit it, but it was very good. Mrs. Bag liked it, too.
