The 11-year run is coming to an end: According to a letter signed by franchise operator Charles Gibson and posted in the store’s window, June 14 will be the last day for this Webster Chick-Fil-A. The letter explains that TxDOT has purchased the property with plans to expand I-45. Across that freeway from the Baybrook Mall, this Chick-Fil-A is the northernmost chain of that cluster of ’em accessible via the feeder from Bay Area Blvd.

Great. Getting onto I45 at this ramp is treacherous at best. Has needed to be fixed for a long time.
I love Baybrook Mall, but I HATE getting there. I have a 4 cylinder Ford, not exactly a car to play daredevil with.
Too bad TXDOT won’t tear down all the Hate-Fil-A’s.

Is there a good place on TXDOT’s site to see their plans and schedule for I-45? They’re currently taking their sweet time on the dixie farm road southbound overpass,and they started widening feeders at clear lake city blvd, and they are doing something bizarre to the median around el dorado and bay area blvd. The commute has been “interesting” lately, I just want to know when they expect to be done with all of it 2017?
This is so sad. The owner is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The service was the best at any fast food place I have ever been to in my 51 years. Great food, always hot. We will miss you!
I’m not following the argument that a person not tolerating the bigotry of others is “intolerance”. That’s not the correct use of that word. That said, I do love me some chicfilet. It’s a guilty pleasure.
