  • You’re asking for quite a bit for a neighborhood surrounded by apartments.

  • It is not an area for everybody. But if you are going to live close to town in Houston, with our no zoning you better be used to the block by block adventure of good areas next to bad. (Doesn’t hinder Bellaire, for example, sitting right next to Gulfton. Or you can always take the $199 to $249 price around the other neighborhoods hugging the outer edge of the loop, like Garden Oaks (next to Independence Heights & all the lovely stuff up Shepherd) and try to get a 3000 sq ft house on 12,000 sq ft lot for that. These houses area a steal.
