Yes, River Oaks “adjacent”–or NQRO–Not Quite River Oaks”–however, this development looks affluent and with Martha Turner involved it will be a success no doubt–I’ve never really liked this area, it doesn’t feel at all like you’re actually in River Oaks, there are no beautiful pocket parks and no River Oaks Patrol and you certainly won’t be invited in the RO neighhborhood association, since NQRO isn’t actually River Oaks–
I agree that the “River Oaks” marketing is quite a stretch. But … this project is located in an area that really is up-and-coming. It will be walkable, just a short distance from upscale amenities in the so-called River Oaks District and other projects to be located where the WestCreek Apartments are now. It will be an incredible transformation of a once-rundown area.
