A Swamplot reader peers over the hedges at the southeast corner of Weslayan and W. Alabama St., to catch a glimpse of the tree work taking place in the parking lot adjacent to the AT&T building yesterday.

The 4.6-acre lot went up for sale last March, the HBJ’s Cara Smith reported, by which time AT&T had already primed the site for commercial development by filing a request with the city. The last time AT&T offered up the property in 2015, there weren’t any takers.
