The 5 master suites in this 6-bedroom home in Hunters Creek Village are tucked out of sight of the pool-surveying viewpoint above, on the second of 4 floors (plus or minus some splitting of levels). The listing for the 1980 home popped up yesterday sporting a $4.496-million asking price and no exterior photographs of the13,963-sq.-ft. structure, which sits on 1.3 acres of well-treed lot backed up against the Houston Racquet Club’s land to the east.
The downstairs wet bar is within easy striking range of the hot tub partitioned away from the main pool:

The listing says that the travertine-floored kitchen has been remodeled with some modern appliances, including 3 ovens (catering to the needs of the 6-bedroom house’s residents even at full occupancy):Â
The bar on the 3rd story has a pass-through to the first of 2Â dining rooms:
The building includes another handful of areas to sit and eat, or admire the wildlife:
The pool bathroom (one of 7, plus an additional 2 half-baths) includes a sauna:
The master-master suite, on the fourth floor, includes a sitting room with a double-sided fireplace:Â
The fireplace faces directly into the suite’s soaking tub:
The other fourth-floor suite has a soaking tub as well:
As does another of the downstairs suites:
But apparently the 2nd-to-last suite has only a shower:

1. As a kid, did you ever dream of living in the Silver Spoons house? Now you can!
2. Did they have grampa taxidermied and mounted in the living room?
This house has always been the “dream house” for our family after my husband worked on it in the 1970s. Sadly, today we saw a notification that it is for sale for lot value. It flooded during Harvey and the owner is not going to rebuild. It’s going to be so sad to know it’s gone.
