I need some tylenol after viewing this.
That person has very specific tastes and is that a tiled ceiling I spy?
Well..that is certainly colorful.
That sneaky house!! Who knew it would contain such treasures!!!!
Someone REALLY liked mylar.

That is all.
This house makes me want to wear puffy taffeta dresses and sniff cocaine.
Reminds me of my childhood and all the hours I spent board out of my gord at the wallpaper store while my parents looked through sample books. At least at the carpet store you could slide down the stacks of samples.
I love the shiny wallpaper going all the way across the ceiling, and the high-gloss paint in the other rooms. This is an estate sale — let’s hope Margie Beegle is selling off the goods, as I would love to see what ELSE is in this house.
I would buy this house, then rent it out to a bunch of up-and-coming dubstep producers.
Afterparties need to be had here.
I kind of fucking love it. Beats Nouveau Romanesque or whatever the hell Houston is about these days.
The sauna is tasteful.
They forgot to include a picture of the cat that lives there: http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m6tvrzqbYM1r0xncio1_250.gif
Absolutely love this interior. WOW!!!
Sold, but only so long as the cat is included.
Smoove. Very smoove.
KHH- just what i was thinking.
that or a b&b.
why oh why don’t i have an extra half mil sitting around…?
Not a house for people who like to get drunk or stoned. Stumbling into bed could kill you. And with that wallpaper, obviously not a house for people who do acid. I do agree the sauna is tasteful. But wallpaper doesn’t work too well in saunas. As I bet they found out.
Find myself slightly dumbfounded yet strangely intrigued. B & B is a great idea! Would love to spend a warm spring weekend there.
wow wow wow! that is amazing.
I would love to know the back story to this house! With as much time, effort and yes, love that surely went into all the designing, I can’t imagine she’d be a “motivated seller”.
With the lack of grass in the yard, I’d guess she has passed on.
I do like her style. Well, except for the wallpaper in the small blue bathroom.
Looks like the owner died at the age of 85 last September. The house isn’t to my taste, but seems to be very well done.
Yikes. That 1970’s mylar wallpaper is a nightmare!!!!
I can see donating this lovely home to the Houston Zoo. Many of the animals there would really dig the rain forest looking green room. Otherwise, what’s with the steps? Calf workout?
On my way home last night I drove past this house, or should I say drove past where this house used to be. Yes, it was DEMOLISHED yesterday while I was at work.
I hope the sauna was saved in some form.
