Where the Walls Come To Life: At Home in Venetian Estates

One highlight of the decorating sampler provided by the listing for 403 Lombardy Dr.: the Monkey Bed.

What’s more to see in this fine home for sale in Venetian Estates?

There’s the multicolor cloud motif gracing the Media Room:

The high Kitchen planter:

The deep-purpled, double-sided fireplace nook:

. . . peeking into the Master Bath:

And of course the brightly fauxed columns:

There’s obviously much more to see in this 5,272-sq.-ft., 4-bedroom home sitting on a 0.66-acre lot overlooking canal-like Eldridge Lake — including a basketball court and pool.

Asking $872,000. And waiting patiently on the market since last October.

Of the indignities foisted upon a circa 1967 home, few compare to the slavish “decoration” of this property. I do not use the term “re-muddle” but if I did, I would use it here. This listing is a keeper in my “Outer Ring of Hell Series”.

This home is the design equivelent of “What Not To Wear”.
