Catching Up on the Simpsons-Themed Antics Outside of The Secret Group on Polk St.

The mural is located on the outside of 2101 Polk St. — a building currently being transformed into a comedy club by The Secret Group, which hopes to open the space by the end of the year. The original progression is shown below:

But the citizens of Springfield have not been idle since the arrest. Class jerk Nelson Muntz is now seen offering his typical nuanced commentary on the unfolding scene, and Comic Book Guy breaks the fourth wall to offer his own signature sentiment:

The mural also includes some darker additions, including portrayals of Milhouse, Moe the Bartender, and Maude Flanders in various states of physical and emotional distress:

Meanwhile, the shame of her son’s plight appears to have driven Marge Simpson to dire measures, as gore-happy cat and mouse team Itchy and Scratchy watch from the space overhanging the front entrance to the club (next to the Twitter handle of artist @JacobCalle, scrawled beneath the crossed-out signature of Simpsons creator Matt Groening):

Even Maggie, apparently caught up in the general chaos of the scene, is having it out with her longstanding archnemesis, Unibrow Baby:

Around the corner, a Simpson’s-flavored Back to the Future tribute has also appeared (complete with the date and time of Marty McFly’s cinematic arrival in the no-longer-distant-future).  Bart, however, appears to be in no hurry to hop in the Professor’s DeLorean and prevent his past self from triggering the chain of Springfield events unfolding on the other face of the building.
