Located at the center of the 5-plex property, the contemporary home is described as being in near-original condition. Since mid-December, the listing has been priced at $379,900. From the exterior, a midcentury modern in Meyerland looks much as it has for decades, reports a longtime admirer of the property. The 1965 home incorporates stone in many forms, from the dark craggy accents on its crushed-rock facade to the paved, no mow yard (top) interspersed with landscaped pods. And as of last Friday, when it debuted on the open market (for the first time in at least 20 years, according to a source), we can ogle its innards: There’s a pool tucked into the front of the footprint, so the entry doors open to an interior walkway past the water and ending at the door. The approach is on display from the step-down section of living space facing the poolscape through a broad wall of floor-to-ceiling windows.

Spring Branch Creek runs past the ravine lot of this updated 1978 Pine Creek Village home in Hilshire Village. The property tested the market waters with a listing in October 2013, but withdrew it within a month. When relisted earlier this week, the tidy contemporary on a cul-de-sac kept its previous asking price: $745,000. The home’s varied roofline translates into various ceiling heights and treatments. In the living room, for example, exposed beams in the half-vault (top) lead the eye to the wood-burning fieldstone fireplace and views out several sliding glass doors overlooking the back deck. And somewhere beyond the treetops lies the water, though it’s a vista curiously absent from the listing.

Expanses of lime carpet inside this 1971 contempo-mod home on a cul-de-sac just east of Wilcrest and south of Buffalo Bayou in Lakeside Forest look a bit like the front lawn on an otherwise woodsy lot. At least it did in the initial photos (top) of the listing, which made it to the market on Friday. Freshened-up photos added Tuesday focused more closely on the clean bones of the place, which has an asking price of $688,000. It’s not the block’s biggest home, but it sits on the largest lot: 32,592 sq. ft.

Gated and front-loading, this 1983 contemporary lot-filler throws a curve or two onto an otherwise straight-from-the-fifties street of ranch-style homes in Meyerland. Earlier this month, the stucco, steel, and glass brick specimen returned to the market after a 4-month break, with a new and lower price of $829,000. It’s a re-listing by a new agency. A previous listing for the home initially sought $975,000 back in October, but by January that price had dropped to $899,000.
