AUSTIN POWERS-STYLE CONDO GOES INTERNATIONALLY VIRAL DURING SEQUEL SALES ATTEMPT Meanwhile, in Chicago: A 3-bedroom 1970s condo fully decked out with brilliantly patterned wallpaper, period light fixtures, and the requisite shaggy rugs was pulled off the market today, after the listing for the originally-furnished condo went viral. The psychedelic penthouse was previously listed for several months starting in late 2012 but was pulled in early 2013 due to a lack of interest; the new listing hit the market on Monday and has since been pulled following an overwhelming response — Canadian and British outlets have reported on the condo, and even the funktacular Zillow listing has been viewed more than 170,000 times. Wood and tile details trim the spaces throughout much of this Northwest Houston home, starting with the large wooden arch positioned next to the front door between the living and dining rooms. Sold in 2007 for $121k, the 4 bedroom and 3 1/2 bath home went on the market last April at $320k; the 3,522-sq.ft. house was pulled in late October at $300k, and was relisted for the same amount in early November. The 9,000-sq.-ft. lot, which abuts the White Oak Bayou Greenway trail, also includes a workshop and a small aviary.

The listing proclaims that the 1959 building did not flood during Memorial Day weekend last year; the house went on the market a few days before Christmas for $975K. While you’re waiting for that Galleria redo to wrap up, renderings have been released of the new home of 51Fifteen, the upscale bistro tucked into the existing Saks Fifth Avenue location along with its sister bar Bar 12 (currently located “amidst the men’s fashion selections”). The restaurant will follow Saks 5th Avenue to its new home, landing in its own swanky new space designed by the Contour Interior Design folks. The restaurant’s website is now booking events at the new location for dates as soon as April 2016.

The wild Woodlands house whose every corner popped with color and faux-finish texture has been tamed. The property, which was relisted last week with stunningly neutral photos, hit the market again in June of last year at $1,650,000; the price has since been lowered 3 times, most recently to $1,275,000.
The house sold previously in 2009 for a smidge below 1.3 million, and sold again in 2014 for $1,215,000 after more than 3 years on and off the market, still dressed in technicolor. The old listings have been removed, though internet traces remain. Check out some before-and-after comparisons below:
